Salado Trip for our 9th anniversary!

Can you believe our cottage was named Salado...
This is a view of our room. Everything is in one room.

Here we are sitting on our porch. In front of our

porch is a little pond with a waterfall. Very Relaxing!

Chad is visiting with Kay, the lady that checked us in.

We found out that the weekend Jenna Bush got married,

most of the family stayed at these cottages.

This is the name of our place! It is such a

blessing to say that Chad and I have been

married for 9 wonderful years! I can't wait for

9 more!

Our New Gas Saving Car for Chad

We just got our new car today and took it
to Salado for our anniversary.

We were so excited to get 30.5 mpg in it!
We chose silver because neither of us has had

that color.

My favorite part is that it has a sunroof. This is also

one of Caden's favorite parts. He also likes that there

is a secret passage to the trunk from the back seat. We

are going to have to be very careful not to loose him

in there.

Galveston Trip 2008

This is Caden's first day to go to the Beach! He was
dancing and saying "I can't believe this is really happening
to me!" He was so excited to go and see the waves!

Here is Caden surfing on his first day at the beach. His

daddy would put him on the board and wait for a good wave

and then push him on top of it. The waves were really big due

to the recent hurricane Dolly. You can see them in the background!

They were perfect for surfing. We were very proud of him!

to tell him how dangerous the ocean was if you got out

to deep. He was not afraid of anything!

This was a day at the strand in downtown Galveston!

We found this cute bear and had to get his picture with him!

He wanted to show how much he has eaten. Papaw,

he ate some for you!!!! Caden, Kim and Chad wanted Papaw to see us eating

our Marble Slab so he would believe us.

Caden loves to get his icecream all over him when he eats.

Yum! Yum! That was so good Papaw! Wished you were here to

eat it with us!

The day at Hurricane Harbor

We are having our picnic at hurricane harbor. Caden
is telling us about what he is going to do next.

This is our fake smile, I am trying out our new camera.
Caden is going into the water, the blue slides in front

of him in the distance is what he went down many times

by himself.

An evening at the River

This is Caden walking in the river on engineer pass. The river

is moving really fast due to alot of snow melt this season. You

can also imagine how cold this river is..........

He just fell in the water and you can tell he was in

a little bit of shock. His cousin Connor Rice is behind him.

This is another time where he actually fell down in the

cold water and I caught it on film. I could not even

keep my feet in the water for longer than a few seconds, and they

were in it for an hour. Why do kids not mind cold water?

This is the face of a happy boy playing in the Colorado river.

Uncle Keith is helping Caden and Connor across a deep

part. Keith is my brother and he did not last very long in the water.

We really had a great time this evening being with family

and friends, and being surrounded

by God's beautiful creation.

July 4th Parade Lake City

Caden and Caroline are getting ready for the parade.

We just got back from the parade and are taking a girl picture!

Here are the kids riding in the wagon in the parade. They

had over 15lbs of candy to throw to the kids, they were out

by the time they got to us, and they were eating most of what

they threw.

More fun in Colorado

Caden and I are standing very close to the edge of this cliff.

The closer the better for him. The water fall behind us is

ClearCreek Falls. One of our favorites.

This is our little friend Caroline putting her feet

in the VERY COLD water. She is sooooooooo cute!

Ashley is holding on to the kids for dear life. On the

opposite side of her is the waterfall and a 200 ft. drop off!

Fun in Colorado

This a 4 by 4 Buck we saw on the side of the road around Lake San Cristobal. He just stared at us like we were in his territory. I was waiting for him to charge us, but he did'nt.
















Caden and Caroline are ready for the ride back to Lake City from Creede. They get their faces painted by a lady at the Craft show. Caden was a Phython and Caroline was a butterfly. Caden said the the phython would eat the butterfly. And this made his friend Caroline laugh!!!
